           Teacher’s day
 

              Good morning to one and all present here. Today, we all have gathered here on the occasion of teacher’s day. This is the day to recall the humongous contribution of our teachers in molding our personality and express our gratitude for the quest of spreading knowledge which they have undertaken voluntarily not for making a tiny sum but for the sake of creating an alert vigilant creative and practical minded generation.

               
                A teacher is our guide. A priest showing us the path to the temple of knowledge. He is an enlightened soul who fulfils our thirst for knowledge. It’s he who never left our hand and helped us in times of difficulties and despair. It’s he who beams proudly at our accomplishments and at times when we met our goals and aims.
               
            
                   He showed us the right path from the wrong one, helped us with our weaknesses enabling us to mark our place at the apex of the path of success. We would have had been lost in the world without him guiding us from time to time. Hence, we ought to acknowledge his efforts and determination to transform individuals to intelligent and open minded citizen. 
            
           
                  We must show him the love and respect we have in our hearts for him which he rightfully deserves. We must pledge to listen his teachings with attention, to make him smile more often and try to lessen his frowns on our misbehavior We mustn’t hold a grudge against him for reprimanding us, but thank him for giving us lessons and morals we would hold with us throughout our life.

Why I don't go to supermarkets....

'You are late again! Why can't you come little earlier?", I said for the hundredth time. This was a typical Friday and Saturday senario. As usual my mom was late to pick me from my Kathak class. "Why can't you come on cycle if you have so much problem?", she said not willing to admit that she had overslept. Again. "Fine. I'll take the cycle from next class." I say raising my hands surrendering. I sit on the scooty as we zig zag our way through the Saturday traffic. We missed the lane leading to our apartment. "Our building was behind." I say. "I know you got an A in Geography but we are going to the supermarket."  "Woah! How come I am being dragged in this?" I question. My parents are coming to stay with us for a fortnight the last thing I want them to say is we live in a cave." she answered. The Spectacular Quarantine Tales

   Not all of us are accustomed to living indoors throughout the day, especially avec our family. Gazing at the scenic beauty of the blank walls and holding the window railings as if I were in a jail and long to be free have occupied a huge part of my day.   My day typically begins with my father yelling at us and trying to wake us at dawn. Catching the first rays of sun is an activity in which he aims to engage me in. Unfortunately, waking up at the ungodly hour of 6 in the morning, a time reserved for bats and vampires does not fall in my to-do list for vacations (read: quarantine).   I beg for 2 more hours of decent sleep and Dad storms off towards his mobile and plays his favorite old songs which by a massive coincidence sound like opera shows.
